You might remember me as a recorder player but I'm back as an organist.
In terms of early music I am interested in, of course, early organ music - particularly english as they had the smaller more modest pipe organs I'm interested in. I'm also up for ensemble playing, (continuo or written) or as an accompaniest for any recorder players interested in exploring such a thing.
Cheers! |

Hi Paul, welcome to the forum and thanks for posting!
So in terms of early music for the organ, whose music do you gravitate towards?

I know that question was coming.
Well there aren't tons of recordings out there but as usual, Naxos has a couple of good ones. Generally at this point I'd say the english composers like stuff from the Mulliner book. Also/including Thomas Tallis and William Byrd |

Yeah, the English stuff...it's so good!
In terms of playing music though, any favourites? |

Well I've only started gathering and playing music in the last couple months but so far I've done stuff from William Duncombe, Jean-Baptist Lully, Scarlatti, Telleman, Domenico Cimarosa, Georg Bohm and our old friend Anon.
I've also just started on some much older stuff by Johannes Ockeghem. (1410-1497) which is proving interesting. |

You might be inerested in checking up some events by RCCO, here's their link. Looks like there's a few things I should add to our concert calender.
Nothing Spanish though. Sylvia Scott Wortley has done talks on Spanish organs in the past.
(To other readers, the theme this year in WEMS is Spanish music in case you're wondering why I'm harping on it)
